celeryI use celery for the base of so many sauces and meals! It has such a distinct flavour!

As well as using fresh it can also be ground and used as a spice.

They vary in colour from a white/light-green to a darker green. The darker they are, the stronger the flavour!




  • Fibre - A good source of fibre which helps to lower cholesterol, prevention of colon cancer and diabetes.
  • Potassium - A good source of potassium which is important for maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance.
  • Vitamin A - A good source of vitamin A which is good for the skin and eyes, reproduction and immunity.
